The dish is 100% stainless steel! The quality is top notch! I use the ring (the few plastic parts it has) with a 3 spout. My Mokie LOVES it! If he had opposable thumbs he would give it a 2 thumbs up rating, so I guess it is a 2 dew claw rating for now from him and a 2 thumbs up from dad. It runs quiet, noisier if you want it to and adjust the volume of the water high. I love this and am VERY glad I went ahead and spent the extra on the stainless model for both aesthetic reasons and for the health reasons for Mokie since stainless resists bacterial growth better than plastic. 2 PAWS UP, way up!
